Airline Crash
Airline Crash
On March 7, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 was lost over the Pacific, perhaps due to an act of terrorism, or piracy. All aboard are presumed lost, and the aircraft is still missing. This tragic mystery is the inspiration for this poem.

Flying thru the lonely skies
plane went down
we heard their cries
plane went down
we heard their cries
Across the oceans
across the seas
loved ones fall
upon their knees
All those lives
their fate undone
Father, mother, wife, and son
Lost forever
none know where
hopeless hope
too much to bear
Ah . . . but happy
yesterday
took a trip
so far away
Laughing as they board the plane
didn’t know
the ending came
Out of nowhere
over sea
plane went down
no one to see
Ghost ship flies
thru time and space
lost forever
tears embrace
The memories of . . . all
those we loved
lost in skies
so far above

On March 7, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 was lost over the Pacific, and presumed crashed. The following day two mile long oil slicks were spotted on the ocean surface, but there was no sign of survivors or the aircraft. It is a loss felt by anyone who has ever flown.
