The Poison – a fantasy poem

The Poison is a fantasy poem of the poisonous lies spread by the court of a queen to protect their influence by breaking up the romance of the queen and a brave knight, leaving the queen romantically alone for the rest of her days.

The Dance – a fantasy poem of romance

“The Dance” is a poem of romance almost like a short love story. Written in free verse, it is a fantasy or reality we all have wished for — here symbolized by a romantic dance to a Sinatra tune, between an older, but still very much in love couple. And as they dance, it seems to bring all of that together. So, this fantasy poem, one that I consider a best fantasy poem, and poem of a long and close romance.

Cinderella – the poem

Cinderella is an ancient story told in many different countries. I have blended the Disney version with the French version from the 1600’s into a fantasy poem very close to both, and was very careful to include all the Disney characters. Like my earlier poem, Snow White, it was a task where I took an entire story, from start to finish. I think it will be an extremely popular version of the story – set to poetry, and I consider it one of my best fantasy poems.

The Flower – a fantasy poem in allegory

A fantasy story , in allegory, of a beautiful, but shy woman, trapped by her own loneliness, who meets a man, purely by chance, and of the relationship that builds between them. A personal favorite, and a best fantasy poem, although one of romance.

So Long Ago – a haunting fantasy poem of eternal love

A woman, lost at sea on a ship much like the Titanic, the love of her husband never wanes until he grows old and ghost-like, they are reunited. A very ghostlike feeling permeates this entire fantasy poem and love story. I consider it a best poem.

The Dream – a fantasy poem

This fantasy poem is dreamlike – and tells the story of an older, but still beautiful woman who lives alone, but is guarded by the ghost of a past love. When the website was begun back in 2011, this was probably the most popular poem on the original site. I still love the story, and consider it a best fantasy poem.

Alone – a poem about love lost

A fantasy poem in allegory of a beautiful woman who makes a choice to reject her love, and pays for it in lifelong isolation. “She sits on a mountain surrounded by snow, it is a place where only she can go”. A best fantasy poem.
